I was watching a snail moving on a wall towards the top and it has already crossed it's halfway mark and was moving with the usual speed. I thought of doing some bad ass things with the snail,so I picked up a stick and pushed it downside. The snail fell on the ground and in minutes it started to climb again on the wall. Nothing much difference the same speed, same target and same movements. Then the thought came to mind, isn't the snail felt to itself that "I lost".
Forget being thinking as lost, the snail felt all the happenings were the process of climbing the wall,it didn't care who the damn pushed it down, it just started moving in the same direction again. Now I felt sorry for it and didn't push it down the second time. But I am sure that even if I do it would climb again without even worrying what was happening all around.
So, I thought of sharing this with the world that we the human beings tend to feel that once if we fall we behave like everything is finished, we often compare ourselves to someone while reaching our desired goals. But that's not what we are supposed to do. There is no competition at all. We just waste our time comparing. Just like the snail we must get up and move forward, whatever may be the obstacles but it's all part and parcel of a journey, it's included in the process. We tend to limit ourselves that if I fell down then it's the end but until you give up nothing is finished, there's still a way. Eventually you will find out that there's nothing as an end goal. You reach some point and you set another target and another one and another one and so on. But if you stopped in mid-way that's where you miss the opportunity to grow. But don't be like that., even at the speed of the snail you must move forward towards your goal.
All I am saying to you is that you should focus on the process rather than goals or outcomes. No matter how slow you are., even slower than the snail just keep on moving, love the process.
