The china planted virus which turned into a pandemic disease hit the economy of the world in the worst manner ever. The loss of jobs(unemployment),lower production, reduced economic activity and what not.!
India as a developing country faced an economic backlash., Which made the government to announce an economic package of ₹20 lakh crores, for economic revival...
What we are going to read??🤔🧐
1) Rise in agricultural activities across the
country..
2) The Government's reforms and support..
(a)Agriculture sector which comprises of 14% of GDP and employs a massive 55% of population in India is showing a positive sign for the future times.
The southwest monsoon entered 10-12 days prior than expected., And as per the latest Kharif sowing data by Agriculture Ministry shows that the farmers have planted 315.63 lakh hectares which is more than double when compared to 154.53 lakh hectares in Previous year.
Madya Pradesh and Maharashtra is responsible for rise in cultivation of oilseeds and pulses cultivation, respectively. These 2 states are also collectively responsible for increase in Maize and Bajra.
(b)On the other side M&M(Mahindra&Mahindra) released the data that the company sold 36,544 tractors as compared to 33,094 in previous year(data relates to the month of June) a significant 10% rise in sales. The Farm Equipment Sector President Hemant Sikka, said that this is the "Second highest June sales ever".
DID YOU KNOW???🧐🧐
(In previous times the farmers were not allowed to sell their crops/produces directly to the end consumer.)
YES.!. Farmers were supposed to sell their produces to some selected markets commonly known as Mandi. Which are controlled by APMC(Agriculture Production Marketing Committee)., Which acts as a middleman between farmers(producers) and consumers. These Mandis after stocking the goods from producers, reduces the supply and created a rise in demand which resulted in rise in prices. Only these Mandis were benefitted. Consumers have to pay more but the producers(farmers) didn't earn any profit, only these Middleman earned a huge sum.
After amending the APMC Act Now, the farmers can sell their products to anyone, and also there will be less inter state barriers and e-NAM is available for farmers to connect to consumers via online. For the first time the Farmers allowed to choose their end consumers. The Central Government has asked the State Governments to review and amend the law to make sure that the farmers would be benefited. This will help the farmers in many ways like
•Now the farmers can make contract farming with
small/medium/large enterprise.
•Agriculture based research institutions can gain
more scope.
•Agriculture based company or agriculture
based entrepreneurship might emerge or
might gain more scope.
•Migration to city will be reduced.
•Rural economy helps in increased
production and more fertile land.
•Unemployment issue will be solved.
And a lot more......
Well let's wait and watch how the State Governments will respond.
